Getting to site
The EJC in 2019 will be held in the heart of the British Countryside at the fantastic Newark Showground.
Venue address:
Newark Showground
Lincoln Road,
Winthorpe,
Newark,
Nottinghamshire,
NG24 2NY
The closest town is Newark-on-Trent but please note that there are no public buses that will take you direct to the venue therefore a taxi will be necessary.
We wouldn’t recommend walking from the town to the site as the route takes you along a busy dual carriageway that only has a narrow path.
** Update**
There will be shuttle buses from both of the Train Stations in Newark to the EJC Venue on the 3rd August and then back again on the 11th August.
There will be a small charge of £3 per person to help us cover the cost.
Newark Northgate Station
Buses will run from 10am, on the hour and half past the hour from Newark Northgate Station until 7.30pm (if there are lots of jugglers waiting we will extend the times). Look out for the Steward with a sign, you will need to pay the EJC steward before you get on the bus.
Newark Castle Station
We are unable to pick up from the actual station so you will need to exit the platform turn right - as if walking towards the town centre over the bridge and turn left into the car park area next to the floating pub boat. Look for the EJC Steward and pay them before you get on the bus.
11th August
For the journey home on the 11th please go to info point during the week to buy a ticket and inform us of your expected departure time. We will then make decisions on the bus times. Look out for information around info point for departure times.
