Facilities
Accommodation
There are many many toilets on site. Most are separated out as Male and Female, in each building there are gender neutral accessible toilets which are suitable for wheelchairs.
Built showers are separated out as Male and Female, there will also be an outside block of showers which are individual cubicles which will be gender neutral.
The event runs Saturday to the following Sunday so you will be with us for quite some time. The camping area at the site is great. Lovely and flat well drained grass, with areas already divided up for us with paths and roads. If you look at the site plan you can see that we have divided up the areas so that you can make arrangements with friends, before you arrive, as to where you plan to make your ‘EJC Camping Villages’
One area is designated ‘Very Quiet Camping’ Please do not camp here if you have noisy people in your party, this is the area for people who like to sleep - either at night or in the mornings.
All the other areas are for anyone to camp anywhere but I would pay careful attention to where the activities are. For example we anticipate the areas on the right of RED (2) Campsite to be noisier in the evenings as it is closer to the Entertainment Area and Bar. Another example is at the other side - the Whip field. Plan carefully!
If you check the plan you will see there is an area marked for hard standing. This area is tarmac and fairly level. It is close to the Elsan points for grey water disposal and with prior arrangements and fee we can offer electric hook up. Check the Shop page for more details.
Alternatively you can park your caravan on the grass. Thus enabling you to have your awnings and associated tents pitched next to you. We would ask however that you please let us know in advance that you would like to do this and when you plan to arrive so that we can attempt to have space available for you. The site will be open from 9 am on Saturday 3rd August.
For a more luxurious stay there is a local company that will hire you a camper van. It will however set you back close to £1000 for the whole event!
Just down the road - about 4 minutes drive or 35 minutes walk there is a Premier Inn. Please note that the walk is a narrow path alongside a busy dual carriageway so is unsuitable for families with young children and those who have had a drop too much to drink. A taxi will cost around £6 / £7 before 11pm after that it’s likely to be £10/£11. The website Booking.com website is also a good place to look for off site accommodation. If you are looking for something close by the Showground post code is: NG24 2NY. You can also have a look here for other local establishments.
The site for EJC is very flat, has tarmac roads and is very accessible. When purchasing your ticket please indicate if you require any additional assistance accessing the site. Vehicles are not permitted on site during the event but parking is available close to the Blue & Red Gate entrances.
Electric Hook up is available to purchase from the shop tab, however we will have a fridge at Info point for those who need medication kept cold at no additional charge.

Food & Drink
There will be a selection of different food vendors on site offering a variety of vegan, vegetarian and omnivorous options. The EJC team are also running our own village store where you will be able to purchase the essential items. If you have a special request please send Jane an email to let her know! We will also be running a majority cashless site. (Except the Juggling Traders who will still accept your cash / debit cards) You will be able to load your pass up with money to spend on site and it will run just like using a debit card. Once the event is over you will be able to logon to the online portal to request a refund of any balance you have left.
